Jane Wenner finally filed for divorce in June 2011 from her husband Jann Wenner, who is the owner of Rolling Stone and Us Weekly.  The Wenner’s have lived separately since 1995 when Jann left Jane and moved in with his gay lover, former Calvin Klein model Matthew Nye.  The money to start Rolling Stone came from Jane’s father, and she has remained a partner in the business ever since.

The Wenner’s never formally filed for divorce and have lived separate lives for 16 years. Jann and Nye even had children by a surrogate.  Speculation as to why Jane is filing for divorce now is that because of the change in the New York law for same-sex marriage, Jann and Nye want to formally tie the knot. Jane should get a major financial settlement.
