You should treat your marriage like a business—a financial partnership.  Couples who support each other through open communication seem to have a stronger relationship, especially when it comes to their money.  Both of you should be part of any financial decisions—and being part of the decision-making will strengthen your marriage.

Communication, mutual respect and monetary goals are prerequisites to a sound financial partnership. There is always room for differences of opinion and the need for individuality, but you will both be working towards the same financial goals.

I’ve always agreed that completely open disclosure is the best way to be in a relationship not just with money but since money seems to be one of the bigger issues with couples it is one that should be openly discussed and couples should also have similar ideas about financial goals otherwise relationships become stressed quickly
