Yup, it’s true. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise settled their divorce quietly on July 9, 2012. They agreed to honor “each of our respective beliefs.” “Under terms of the settlement, Suri isn’t permitted to be exposed to anything Scientology-related, and this includes going to any Scientology churches, parties, etc.”  a source close to the negotiations told Radar Online. “Katie made sure that this was ironclad in the agreement.”

We have to give Katie credit. She has guts! She blindsided Tom Cruise with divorce papers in Manhattan two weeks ago. We also have to give Tom credit because he quickly and quietly settled the divorce.  A judge still needs to sign off on the divorce agreement.

They released a joint statement on July 9: “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”
