Prenups are essential in every marriage.  But if you are given a postnuptial to sign—read it carefully, have a divorce attorney read it—but you should NEVER sign a postnuptial!  Even if your spouse gives you a “sign it or else” ultimatum—don’t sign it!  You will rue the day you did!

It’s better to end the marriage then (if it comes to that) than later when you have more at stake.  Sign at your own peril!
