When you are angry and frustrated, you need to step back from those feelings and calm down.  Taking deep breaths helps.  This can save you from saying and doing things in the heat of the moment that you wish you hadn’t.  When you get angry and lose your temper, you lose!

Anger can make you sick.  Going through a divorce is very stressful emotionally.  Unfortunately anger is part of the package.  Anger can affect your health.

Some of the side affects of anger are:

—Anger can hamper your ability to think rationally;

—Anger can increase your blood pressure;

—Anger can  compromise your immune system;

—Anger can cause migraines;

—Anger can cause you to grind your teeth;

—Anger can cause you stomach pain and diarrhea.

It is very important that you learn how to manage your anger.  When you get angry, breathe deeply.  Exercise is very important—working out, walking or running, and doing Yoga or Pilates can be very helpful to get rid of the anger.
