Here are some strategies for online dating:

Texting:  Take your sweet time texting backa lot of time! Ladies should wait at least four hours to answer a man’s text—and even up to 24 hours. It shouldn’t seem like you look at your phone all the time—or give the impression that you do! Don’t send flirty text messages. Don’t sign with a smiley. And NEVER sext!

Online dating sites:  Keep your profile “short and sweet.” Give some fun facts, not the same mundane ones. You should ignore winks, flirts and other similar actions on dating sites. These are when a guy clicks on your profile but doesn’t write to you. It’s a big nothing! If he hasn’t asked you out after four emails, move on. He’s just playing.

Facebook:  Never friend a guy you are dating until you know him better. Keep your personal life a secret. He should have no idea what you do between dates. It’s really not his business! He doesn’t have to have constant updates about your personal life. You have to be a little mysterious. The less info the better. Facebook has customizable privacy setting, and you should use them.

Email:  You should avoid email altogether. It lends itself to lengthy conversations.

Skype or Video Chat:  No long chats! If you tell him everything on a video chatthere’s no reason to have a real date!

After a date—if you had a nice time—send him a short “thank you.” Nothing elaborate, just “thank you, I had a great time” is enough. If you hated every minute, don’t even bother to communicate with him on any level.
