A study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior showed that kissing may be the key to a more perfect union. Researchers found that frequency of kissing (but not intercourse) was associated with people’s overall relationship satisfaction.

“We don’t know whether more kissing leads to a healthier bond, or a healthier bond leads to more kissing, but the two are related.”

There seems to be something unique about kissing that makes it more intimate than intercourse. Anything that causes couples to get cozyeven just a peck on the cheekcan reinforce feelings of affection and attraction. Since skin-to-skin contact triggers the release of feel-good endorphins and the trust hormone, oxytocin, kissing should be a priority to help boost your relationship with someone you care about.
