Successful career women who are the breadwinners in their families are nearly 40 percent more likely to get a divorce than ones who aren’t, a 25-year study shows.  The access to money makes it far easier to make it on their own.
Bruised male egos could also play a part in the divorce.  Researchers found that the tipping point is when the wife brought in at least 60 percent of the family’s income.  Also, successful women may resent a husband who isn’t pulling his weight.
