The divorce rate in the United States is the highest in the world.  50% of  all marriages end in divorce and 67% of second marriages end in divorce. The U.S. Census bureau estimates that approximately 50% of American children will live in a single-parent home sometime during their first 18 years because of the result of separation or divorce.
