Some 5,000 New York male members of www.whatsyourprice.com were asked to evaluate five features that they’re looking for in a mate. It turns out that the perfect single New York City woman is a brown-eyed, nonsmoking, social-drinking, brunette, preferably with a master’s degree.

Do blonds have more fun? They came in second, followed by black hair, red hair and “other.” Brown led the eye-color category, followed by blue, green, hazel and “other.”

New York City was the only major city to value brown-eyed girls the most. New York men value a woman with a master’s degree the most, followed by a doctorate, a BA, an associate’s degree and a high-school diploma.
